Smart Parking Limited (ASX:SPZ) says it has won a tender to supply a fully paid 12 month car parking sensor trial in the A.C.T.

The trial will see 460 sensors and the associated technology installed in car parks across Canberra with a mix of both on-street and off-street parking.

The technology then feeds real time information from the bay sensing technology to a smart phone app which motorists can use to find the availability of parking spaces in the nation’s capital.

The technology has been testing across 3,000 spaces in London’s Westminster with a second phase of 7,000 parking sensors to be installed there.

Smart Parking reported a net loss of $5.36 million for the 2015 financial year.
