Stockland reports profit increase for H1 FY2016

Stockland Corporation (ASX:SGP) has reported an 8.1 per cent increase in net profit to $313 million for the half year to 31 December 2015.
 
The company says the result was underpinned by continued growth in all businesses, including residential which delivered profit growth of 45.5 per cent.
 
Commercial property operating profit was up by 3.8 per cent and retirement living profits grew by 9.2 per cent.
 
Statutory EPS came in at 29.4 cents and distribution for the half year came in at 12.2 cents per security.
 
Gearing remains at 23.1 per cent, with a weighted average debt maturity of 5.7 years.
