Auckland International Airport Limited (ASX:AIA) has announced passenger numbers for June increased by 8.6 percent compared to June 2015.

 

The airport attributes growth to increased seat capacity and the increase in the number of international airlines servicing passengers. 

 

17.3 million passengers passed through the airport in the 12 months to June 2016, with growth achieved across all passenger segments.

 

Vistors from China posted the largest increase, followed by Australia, the US, Japan and Korea.

 

Auckland International Airport reported a net profit of $108.6 million at 31 December 2015.
