LBT Innovations issued new US patent

LBT Innovations Limited (ASX:LBT) has announced it has been issued a new patent by the US Patent and Trademark Office.

The patent covers the image capture and light apparatus of the company’s Automated Plate Assessment System technology, known as APAS.

APAS is an AI technology that enables the faster diagnosis and reporting of infectious diseases.

APAS has been licensed on a global basis to Clever Culture Systems, which is integrating the technology with robotic lab instruments.

LBT Innovations Limited reported a net profit of $3.6 million at 30 June 2016.
