Aristocrat Leisure (ASX:ALL) to exceed market consensus estimates for fiscal 2009

Aristocrat Leisure (ASX:ALL) says it expects to exceed market consensus estimates for operating profit before non-recurring items for fiscal 2009. The Company’s operating profit after tax is expected to be approximately $116 million for the year ending December 2009. Aristocrat says it will recognise an abnormal provision of $187.3 million in its 2009 financial accounts relating to the expected damages from U.S Convertible Bonds holders. Total abnormal losses for the year will include the impairment of the multi-terminal gaming businesses, intellectual property litigation settlement, property sales and restructuring costs. Aristocrat reported a profit of $101.21 million for calender 2008.
