Coal producer and developer, Yancoal (ASX:YAL) has appointed a new co-vice chair, Gregory Fletcher.
Gregory is a familiar face at the company, and already chair of Yancoal’s independent board committee, as well as chair of the company’s audit and risk management committee.
He was previously a senior partner with a big four accounting firm where he specialised in internal and external audits, as well as risk management.
He joined the current co-vice chairs, (Baocai Zhang and Cunliang Lia) with effect from yesterday, 1 March 2018.
All this comes as the company announced a recovery in its result with its profit after tax swinging to $229 million in the 2017 year, recovering from its prior year’s $227 million loss.
Shares in Yancoal (ASX:YAL) closed 3.2 per cent higher yesterday at $0.16
